Meet Ava

Ava Perkins is a cosmetic chemist and science communicator, known for making the science behind beauty products accessible and engaging. With a B.S. in Cosmetic Science and Formulation Design and a PhD in Biomembrane Sciences underway, Ava has formulated over 50 products across skincare, haircare, and cosmetics, and more. Within the industry, she has experience working in research & development, technical marketing, and social media marketing for contract manufacturers and raw ingredient suppliers. As a cosmetic chemist and content creator, it is her goal to bridge the gap between industry knowledge and consumer understanding in the cosmetic space by educating about the science behind cosmetic and personal care products.
